The Brandon Local Immigration Partnership (BLIP) was pleased to join community members and partners for the Jamaican flag-raising ceremony in Brandon.

The event was a meaningful opportunity to celebrate Jamaican culture, heritage, and the contributions of the Jamaican community to the growing diversity of Brandon. It also provided an opportunity for community members from different backgrounds to come together, connect, and celebrate the importance of belonging and cultural inclusion.

BLIP was proud to be present and to stand alongside members of the Jamaican community and other community partners in recognizing this special occasion.

Events like the Jamaican flag raising remind us that building a welcoming community goes beyond helping newcomers settle—it is also about creating opportunities for people to share their cultures, celebrate their identities, build relationships, and feel a genuine sense of belonging.

BLIP remains committed to working with community partners and diverse cultural communities to strengthen connections and help make Brandon a welcoming and inclusive place for everyone.
